چکیده
In the context of positioning an agent with a single-anchor, this contribution focuses on Fisher information about position, orientation and clock offset provided by single-bounce reflections. The availability prior knowledge agent's environment is taken into account via distribution position virtual anchors, rank, intensity direction studied. We show that when no available, reflections offer in parallel to reflecting surface, irrespective anchor's locations. provide geometrically intuitive explanation results present numerical examples demonstrating their potential implications.

Biological motion perception from sequential position information
Introduction Both in generating human activity and in the visual perception of it, the brain is confronted with the many degrees of freedom involved in the movement of body and limbs. Not unlikely, the perception of motor actions is supported by mechanisms that are very similar to those in control of these actions. Hints towards an interaction between perceptual and action processes can be foun...
متن کاملReflecting business process variability in information systems
Information systems are a fundamental support for the business processes of a firm. Information systems should be shaped on the needs of the business process throughout the life of the firm. This poses the problem of tracking changes in the business process and to reflect those changes in the information system. Assumptions and constraints are necessary in any real software project but can impa...
متن کاملTheoretical and Computational Aspects of Scattering from Periodic Surfaces: Two-dimensional Perfectly Reflecting Surfaces Using the Spectral-Coordinate Method
We consider the scattering from a two-dimensional periodic surface. From our previous work on scattering from one-dimensional surfaces (Waves in RandomMedia 8, 385(1998)) we have learned that the spectral-coordinate (SC) method was the fastest method we have available. Most computational studies of scattering from two-dimensional surfaces require a large memory and a long calculation time unles...
متن کاملFree energy surfaces from single-distance information.
We propose a network-based method for determining basins and barriers of complex free energy surfaces (e.g., the protein folding landscape) from the time series of a single intramolecular distance. First, a network of transitions is constructed by clustering the points of the time series according to the short-time distribution of the signal. The transition network, which reflects the short-tim...
